The Air Jordan III ’88 Retro has definitely been the headline release thus far in 2013 and now we’re on the eve of an epic restock. If you’ve been hiding under a rock somewhere this might be new to you but if not it’s always nice to confirm details before venturing out on the internet to cop a highly touted release. It’s no secret that the ‘Nike Air’ logo returning to the heel has made these a must have for any avid collector or wearer and tomorrow morning at 8AM EST you’ll have another chance to lace these up. All of the major online retailers (Footlocker, Footaction, Champs Sports, EastBay and Nike.com) are participating in the restock and of course all will be selling these at retail which is $200. Is this one of the most anticipated restocks in sneaker history? It certainly feels that way. The Air Jordan IV bridged the gap between 2012 and 2013 seamlessly with releases landing on both side of the New Year. The very popular Jordan Brand model will continue to push the envelope by adding what appears to be another new colorway. The Air Jordan IV ‘Red Tongue’ looks to feature a mixture of grey, light blue, and black plus a solid red tongue. CP3 laced up a similar pair earlier this year but these rock a slightly different make-up. So it’s likely that this Air Jordan 4 are moving through the sample process and are in-line for a release later this year.

Samples always grab attention when they land on the aftermarket especially ones of this caliber. The Air Jordan 1 ‘Infrared’ landed in-store at the beginning of 2009 but this sample courtesy of 2008 shows us exactly what the brand was working on prior to its release. Could an Air Jordan XI ‘Concord’ release be in the works for 2013? It’s highly doubtful but DJ Khaled is showing off a sample that he recently picked up. This sick sample isn’t just any ordinary pair though as it possesses a feature unseen on any release version with the ‘45’ on the heel. We can only hope that these somehow make their way to retailers. Based off the crispness of this pair these look to be a relatively new sample which could bode well for us sneakerheads. The Air Jordan 1 ‘J2K’ hit stores a while back bearing a very colorful palette but it looks like there could have been a rather dim version to hit as well. With sneakerheads begging for an Air Jordan XI ‘Blackout’ release it seems as if Jordan Brand is doing such colorways on other pairs instead and this Air Jordan 1 ‘J2K’ features an almost fully (save for the midsole) blacked out look. The auction has ended but a close up look and a few more details can be found HERE on eBay.

The good folks over at ShoeZeum are still unloading pieces of the world’s largest sneaker collection (it may not hold that award much longer). At this very moment they have 290 auctions running that run the gamut featuring everything from relatively newer sneakers like the South Beach 9s, Thunder/Lightning 4s from 2006 and a crazy sampling of Blazer’s all the way down to original pairs including the 1985 releases of the ‘Black Toe’ and ‘Royal Blue’ Air Jordan 1s. The Air Jordan V ‘Elephant’ first appeared last fall and many of us thought that they would be a late 2012 release but as you know that never happened. Now what appeared to be a previously nixed colorway looks like it may be making an appearance sometime during 2013. It is the 23rd anniversary of the Air Jordan V so it would make sense for a something a little out of the ordinary to pop up and here it is. Last month Rip Hamilton was showing off his ‘Grape’ V pickups all 21 of them actually that came bearing the tag “Grapes for the Fam” and now he’s back at it again. This time he picked up a nice stock (another 21 pair) of the Air Jordan 1 ‘Black Toe’ for those close to him. This time the photo caption read “Black toes for the Rip City fam. No one in my circle can where nothing but Jordan’s. It’s a way of life.” Well it’s definitely a way of life for many and it seems like Richard Hamilton is supporting the way quite well.

The Air Jordan IV ‘Stealth Oreo’ has been a hot topic amongst sneaker heads as of late. With the pair holding onto part of the 1999 released Oreo IVs nickname it seems Jordan Brand has hit a vein. While some are begging the brand to re-release the OG pair others are welcoming this new retro with open arms. Look for these to land as a Holiday 2013 release and of course come bearing a mixture of Stealth and shades of grey along with a lightly speckled midsole. Customizers continue to grab colorways from across the board and while we rarely see one of these talented individuals dip into the Asics pool of color-ups, DeJesus thought he’d try his hand at a rather famous one. Thanks to DeJesus Customs the ‘Salmon Toe’ colorway has found its way onto the Air Jordan IV. All of the original accents are intact including the Salmon accents that land on the toe guard plus a few extras like the salmon colored Jumpman and wing lining.
