Air Jordan 5

Originally released in 1990 the Air Jordan V was the first pair to feature a clear outsole. Although later on the sole was found to yellow it doesn’t look like it deterred any from buying the Air Jordan 5 as sales were very strong. Modeled after the World War 2 Mustang fighter plane the AJ5 sports shark teeth like designs on each side along with Michael Jordan’s number ‘23’ on the side of one of the OG releases. New features didn’t stop there though as the Air Jordan V also featured a 3M reflective tongue. Original colorways included 4 heavy hitters with the most popular being the ‘Grapes’ followed by the ‘Metallic Silver’ and two ‘Fire Red’ colorways. Retro’s of this model took place in 2000, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2011 and we’re currently in the midst of the 2013 releases.
